I looked through the twilight,
Through the darkness of the night;
I stood like a knight,
Afflicted by the sightlessness of his sight,
But just then, I saw light.
Followed by a human-like vector of a perfect height;
Looking very mysterious yet seemed beautiful or maybe I’d say “right”.
I was captured by perplexity
Without even the slightest idea of my where I was at.
Taking note of all the occurrences,
Holding firmly to the whole complexity,
And then I decided to break the ice;
“It’s the fairer sex”
—I said slightly to myself.
“Approaching you will be a wild goose chase”
I thought,
And so, decided to take the bull by its horn.
You came to the light.
“Hey mate!”
You turned.
“I’ve got something to say,
I promise it’s not about life or my faith.
This is true, although it sounds a little bit insane.
Look, anytime we’re together, I feel great.
I just pray, with you the feeling is the same”.
We got to the gate,
You asked, “Why did you call me mate?”
I went blank and so, you gave me a break.
From a bird’s eye view, we were on a date
And you kept on blushing
Or like you’ll say contradictingly, “smiling”
You found no fault in all I said and all I did
Although, I wasn’t that spick and span to me.
I went blank again.
This time with darkness surrounding me
The joy I enjoyed seized.
I felt someone tapping my arm
And so, I woke up to find out
That it was all a dream.
When I opened my eyes,
I saw that you were the one tapping me.
I know in a long run;
You’ll still recognize me!
POEM FACT
Psychology says, when a person appears in your dreams, they want to see you.
