A wise man once said, “Create habits, not
restrictions”. Preventing diseases and staying healthy is a subject that has
been broadened and expanciated on by many different individuals and coperate
bodies, time without number. In this article, I’m going to be revealing three
very simple ways to stay healthy that at the same time will come in very handy.
Following the escalation of several infectious diseases in recent times, everyone has at a point in time, been educated or informed on the role they can play in limiting the spread of diseases, but despite all the warnings and education, there has been an alarming spike in the number of people who have fallen victim to these diseases. The major reason is the fact that people see preventive measures as limitations to their everyday lives and often get tired of them. So how do I stay healthy and at the same time be comfortable? Below are some tips on how to go about that:
1. Change your Mindset.
So many people are of the view that living
a healthy life is all about placing limits, but that’s not true, because humans
hate being restricted–which makes that
point totally impracticable. So what do I say? Living a healthy life isn’t just
about placing limits, but developing the habit of placing those limits. I know It
sounds funny and a little bit absurd now, but giving it a closer look, you’ll
see that getting used to healthy practices won’t just restrict you from
engaging in the unhealthy ones, but will help you to live without them. Thus,
we should create habits and not restrictions.
2. Maintain good Personal Hygiene.
In other to stay healthy, we are advised to
wash our clothes properly, take our bath and brush our teeth twice a day, wash
our hands regularly, et cetera. Over the years, hand washing has become a
prevailing method of fighting germs (that cause diseases). If one must stay healthy,
then he/she must develop the habit of washing his/her hands regularly.
3. Eat Healthy.
When it comes to eating healthy, a lot of
things are to be considered in other to do it right. This includes:
- The type of food you eat
- Your consumption level
- Your choice of food
- And even the food source matters too
These three (3) are the basic ways to stay
healthy. If you can follow the above points, then the probability that you
won’t fall sick should be around 8/10 (ie. 80%).
